About

My journey started in 2023, shortly before my mom passed away. I often wish I could share these paintings with her, or that we could have painted together. She always wanted to paint but never did, so in many ways, I feel like I’m painting for both of us. That is truly my inspiration.

Before that, I always appreciated art and was exposed to it through my mom, who taught us to value it. But I never had any desire to create it myself. In fact, I remember shuddering at the thought of taking art classes in high school. I couldn’t wrap my head around something that felt so chaotic.

That changed when my best friend came to visit and we decided to try painting at home watching a couple of step-by-step videos. What surprised me was how much I enjoyed stepping outside the lines of what was being taught and trying my own ideas. I was hooked. I started with acrylics and eventually moved to oils—everything you see in my gallery is done in oil.

I welcome any feedback that helps me grow. I don’t think you ever stop learning when it comes to creativity. When I paint, I feel a sense of peace and calm I haven’t experienced before. Even on days when things don’t go as planned, I’ve still learned something—and that’s what brings me back, ready to start again.
