About

Hi, I'm Lorraine.

I never set out to become an artist. Growing up, I appreciated fine art from afar, thanks largely to my mom's love of it, but I never imagined creating it myself. Then one day I picked up a paintbrush, discovered how much I loved the process, and haven't stopped learning since.

My path to painting was influenced by several people along the way. My brother gave me a set of paints and canvases years before I ever thought I would use them, and watching my cousin create remarkable work in his studio showed me what was possible with a brush and a little imagination. At the time, I didn't realize how much those experiences were planting the seeds for what would eventually become a passion of my own.

I'm drawn to landscapes, shorelines, changing skies, quiet and thoughtful scenes with people, and the interplay of light and shadow. These scenes often reflect what many of us experience in life—moments of uncertainty, hope, peace, resilience, and wonder.

My paintings aren't intended to tell you what to think or feel. Instead, I hope they create space for you to bring your own experiences, memories, and emotions to the work.

What keeps me coming back to the easel is the opportunity to create something that slows people down, even if only for a moment.

When I'm not painting, I'm often helping others grow through leadership development and coaching. In many ways, both passions are connected. They are about paying attention, seeing possibilities, and helping people discover something they may not have noticed before.

I'm glad you're here.
